How to Get Started
Each of the API products listed in the Moody's API Hub has its own documentation, in which you can find the API reference, guides, and changelogs. In order to get access to this, please follow the below steps.
- Register an account by clicking Login in the top right corner and then Sign Up, or click here.
- Navigate to the API Products page in the navigation bar to browse the product catalogue.
- For new users: You must generate your first API Key. This is a one time process. Once done, you will be able to start subscribing to APIs.
Please generate an API Key in your account settings by clicking the "Generate API Key" button under user info. Save and store this key in a safe place. Once it is generated, you cannot view it again.
If you lose the key, you can regenerate a new one and your previous key will be invalid. - To subscribe to a specific API, go to the Products page and click on + Request API Access.
- Once approved, you will be able access the product documentation. To make API calls, please refer to the API’s documentation.
When should I use a service account?
A service account represents a non-human user that needs to access data. They should be used for persistent applications so that they can perform actions on behalf of the users of the application.
To get access set up for a service account, follow the same instructions as above using the service account's email address.
